Badger Realty has been a part of the Mt. Washington Valley Community since 1965. We understand how important it is to give back to the community that we love, to help preserve and protect the area for future generations. We are proud to support the following organizations:

The Miranda Leavitt Diabetes Fund – The Miranda Leavitt Diabetes Fund was established in 2008 by Brenda and Richard Leavitt of Fryeburg, Maine, in honor of their daughter Miranda Maria Leavitt.  Miranda, diagnosed at the age of 13 with Type 1 diabetes, passed away at the age of 22 from diabetes complications. Miranda left as her legacy her desire to help educate, assist and fund those who needed assistance managing their diabetes.  Miranda’s fund is administered by White Mountain Community Health Center in Conway, NH.   The Community Health Center is a non-profit organization.   Education is also provided in communities serving over 15,000 people by way of providing testing for diabetes, education in the schools and communities on prevention of Type 2 diabetes and more.

Jen’s Friends  100% of funds raised by Jen’s Friends events goes directly to assist cancer patients and their families. Jen’s Friends Cancer Foundation provides supplemental financial assistance and other resources to cancer patients and their families in the Mount Washington Valley who are uninsured, under-insured, or financially challenged, allowing them to focus on battling cancer without worrying about the indirect financial burdens that often arise.

Arts Jubilee – The mission, since 1983, is to bring world-class, live music performances to the valley that are normally found only in metropolitan areas. And to present an artist in the area schools programs, annually.

The Conway Area Humane Society – They have been in operation with the  Cat and Small Animal Adoption Center since June 2003 welcoming dogs, cats, and small mammals. The Dog Adoption Center, Reception Area and Learning Center were finished in June 2004. During the first year of operation, they were able to give second chances to over 700 animals. They have received owner-relinquished pets from as far North in New Hampshire as the Canadian border and as far South as the Massachusetts border and have contracts with seven New Hampshire towns. They also accept transfers from high-kill shelters in the Southern US.

Hannes Schneider Meister Cup Race – The Hannes Schneider Meister Cup is unlike any ski race in history. It combines the best of skiing today with the warm nostalgia of yesterday. It honors the founding father of ski instruction, Austrian Hannes Schneider, who brought his world-renowned skills to North Conway and Mt. Cranmore in 1939. Schneider introduced skiing fun and excitement to millions around the globe.

North Conway Public Library – The North Conway Library is a privately funded library that is free and open to the public. They don’t receive any regular funding from the town of Conway, the State of NH, or the federal government; therefore they depend on donations, corporate sponsors and fundraising programs!

Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce – Welcome to the the Mt. Washington Valley! At the Chamber of Commerce, along with 800 business members, they are working hard to promise you peace, relaxation and recreation in a beautiful mountain setting. In the Mt. Washington Valley – famous for the being home to the highest peak in New England, at 6,288 feet, “it is a place where you can do anything and you have lots of possibilities.”

Fryeburg Academy – Fryeburg Academy is an independent secondary school that serves a widely diverse population of local day students and boarding students from across the nation and around the world. The Academy believes that a strong school community provides the best conditions for learning and growth. Therefore, we strive to create a supportive school environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and cooperation, and prepares students for responsible citizenship. Within this context, the Academy’s challenging and comprehensive academic program, enriched by a varied co-curriculum, provides the knowledge and skills necessary for success in higher education and the workplace.”

Kismet Rock Foundation – Kismet Rock Foundation (KRF) offers comprehensive courses in rock climbing and mountaineering to children who, because of financial limitations, would not otherwise have access to such an education. Based in North Conway, New Hampshire, KRF accepts emotionally stable and well-functioning youth from both urban and rural areas into its programs. KRF’s goal is to offer children an opportunity to benefit from the immense value inherent in a climbing education.

MWV Children’s Museum – The Mount Washington Valley Children’s Museum nurtures the natural curiosity of all children and the adults in their lives and encourages shared discovery through exhibits and programs that inspire exploration.

Valley Vision – VALLEY VISION is a non-profit 501(c)(3) production company that produces Public, Educational, and Government (PEG) television programming for Conway, Albany, Bartlett, and Fryeburg on channel 3. They are funded primarily by cable franchise fees provided by the Town of Conway. They also receive contributions from the towns of Albany and Fryeburg, as well as business sponsors and their members. No part of Valley Vision’s budget is derived from tax dollars.

White Mountain Milers – The White Mountain Milers is a non-profit club, founded May 18, 1985, dedicated to running, walking, general fitness and community service. They promote fitness education, running and walking events in the greater Mount Washington Valley of New Hampshire. They’re involved in numerous community service activities. The Milers are a friendly social group and welcome both runners and veterans to any and all of the many activities. They have road runners, walkers, trail runners, mountain runners, ultra runners and snowshoe runners among our members so they think you can find someone to run with no matter what your interest or ability.

American Cancer Society – Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has 11 geographic Divisions, more than 900 local offices nationwide, and a presence in more than 5,100 communities.

Mother Seton House – A nonprofit, faith-based home for pregnant women in difficult circumstances. Their goal is to provide education, counseling, referrals, and physical, emotional and spiritual support in a caring community. Mother Seton House, Inc. welcomes all women regardless of their race, color, religion or national origin.

Starting Point -Starting Point: Services for Victims of Domestic & Sexual Violence is a non-profit organization dedicated to:

  • Ensuring quality services are provided to victims of relationship violence and sexual abuse
  • Preventing future relationship violence and sexual violence
  • Promoting social change
  • Encouraging accountability and education for perpetrators and stalkers.
