Badger Realty's Management Team

Owner/Partner Richard L. Badger founded Badger Realty in 1965, following three years of managerial experience at another local real estate company. The newly founded realty grew steadily over the years; Dick attributes this growth to the firm's ability to attract and retain high caliber sales associates.
Dick, who holds ABR* and CRB (Certified Residential Brokerage Management) certifications, is licensed in Maine and New Hampshire and focuses on commercial sales.
The Badger family has always played an active role in community life, and Dick has been heavily involved in school board and Chamber of Commerce activities; he has also been a staunch supporter of the arts. Dick has served in a leadership role for a number of trade associations, including The New Hampshire Association of Realtors and The White Mountain Board of Realtors.
Dick and his wife Mary, who live in Jackson, have four grown sons, and 7 grandchildren.

Managing partner Brenda Leavitt oversees the day-to-day business of the agency, including staffing and marketing.
Skilled management has been a key element in Badger Realty’s ability to provide the level of service and professionalism that customers have come to expect from the area’s leading real estate firm. Education is a special focus, as Brenda says, “It’s important that customers be informed and up-to-date on what’s happening in the market and what their options are, as well as the overall process of the purchase and sale.” Her experience, built over 25 years at Badger Realty and more than 30 years in the real estate business, makes her an invaluable resource for customers and agents alike. Brenda is licensed in both Maine and New Hampsire and holds the Certified Residential Brokerage Management designation, which requires completion of a rigorous management education program. This designation is held by only 2% of Realtors nationwide.
Brenda attributes Badger’s success in large part to the professionalism of the company's staff, whom she regards as valued business partners. While she is a licensed real estate broker in both New Hampshire and Maine, she and the agency’s founder, Dick Badger, do not compete with their agents, but instead support them in their efforts. They’ve been so successful that Badger Realty can boast the best retention of agents of any real estate firm in the region.
A community activist, Brenda is treasurer of the White Mountain Board of Realtors, a member of the board of directors of the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, and a dedicated supporter of the arts and community events.
