About Parsonsfield, ME
Parsonsfield is a town in York County incorporated on August 29, 1785 from a tract of land originally sold by Sagamore Captain Sunday to the first white proprietors. A later proprietor, Thomas Parsons, is the namesake for the community, first as Parsonstown, then Parsonsfield. Kezar Falls, a village on the Ossipee River named for George Kezar, is the largest in the area at the junction of Maine Routes 25 and 160.
